STICK IS MEANT TO BE

built.

THE PROTOTYPES

three prototype pieces exhibit sizing and construction

tall shelf
wide shelf
stool

BUILT BY ONE PERSON

Every piece goes together by hand, on the floor, without a single screw or tool. The panels stand, the dowels drop through, the shelves rest on the pins.

stick’s standard dowel and pin sizing allows for simple measurement adjustments to create entirely new furniture.

but when the measurements are standardized they can also be reconfigured and combined.

THE HOOK SYSTEM

the stick hook system lets every part of the piece be utilized.

Drawings of the six hook types: through-hooks, ring hooks, s-hooks, clip hooks, ring dowel caps and dowel caps

KNOCKED DOWN

Stick was an incredibly personal project, encompassing everything that I know and think about design. Please be invited to read my process book, the heart and soul behind this project. It includes all of the research, sketching, and thinking behind these pieces of furniture. Download it here.
